Active Childbirth

If You Want an Active Childbirth:

We offer you relief from the pain of childbirth without the use of drugs or anaesthetics, and without any side effects, using the Obstetric T.E.N.S. machine.

You can hire a Tens machine from us, from 37 weeks of your pregnancy, until after the delivery.

Obtens is completely safe for both you and your baby.

You Can Benefit:

Relieve the backache and other aches and pains of late pregnancy.
Realise your dream of experiencing a natural  birth, especially if you have had a previous vaginal delivery.
Obtens will help you to labour in the relaxing environment of your own home for much longer.
If you decide on an epidural, using Obtens to delay it until you are at least 5cm dilated decreases the risk of a caesarean section and other complications.
If you have had a previous caesarean section, and would like to try for a vaginal delivery, in many cases this is both possible and safe.  However an epidural is  not recommended, as it may mask the symptoms of a complication.  Obtens is the ideal pain relief for VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean).
Alleviate after-pains and painful caesarean section wounds.
